Most owl stamps are obvious however there are number of items that are more subjective. People see things differently and I am sure there are many items on our site that you might disagree with.

The following items we do not believe are owls although we would be delighted to change our opinion if you can provide some evidence.

Festival of Humour and Satire - Internet research suggests that the emblem is more likely to be a black cat. Other Bulgarian stamps exists with this emblem.

SG describes this as a stone effigy of a woman. Scott - polished stone figure Pigeon not owl Seal of the University of Santo Domingo - Internet research does not support claim that it features an owl. Scott claim this is an owl. The Bird Theme website classifies it as a Harpy Eagle and this appears more likely. SG claim that this is an owl but looks more like an eagle SG describe this as a swallow which is consistent with similar China Stamps Scott however claims it is an owl.

Not convinced that it is an owl bottom left corner. SG claims it is a figure with clams shell whilst Scott states its a Barn Owl Raus Headman

Allegedly the St Kitt's owl stamp is featured on one of these stamp however I can find no evidence of this. Has someone mistaken a cat for an owl

Topical owl list claims there is an owl but don't indicate which stamp the bird on the right hand stamp looks nothing like an owl and the left-hand stamp features a Tarsier
